Kalatukku E. Eriksson has a long history as a fish wholesaler, but the company has gone through many changes during its over 135 years of operation. The business has grown from a local public market fishmonger at Helsinki Market Square to a production facility with a turnover over 20 Million Euros and the company employs approximately 75 persons at the moment. Since June 2018, the traditional, family-owned company has been a part of Kesko Oy, as Kalatukku E. Eriksson was acquired by Kespro. Kalatukku E. Eriksson continues to operate as an independent company after the acquisition, but as a member of the K-Group family.

The production facility of Kalatukku E. Eriksson, located near to the city centre of Helsinki in Roihupelto, meets the high demands of the current food safety and hygiene requirements. The modern production facitilies enable both the production of customised, handcrafted products as well as the production of large capacity requiring volume products.

Kalatukku E. Eriksson has been certified with responsibility certificates of MSC (Marine Stewardship Council)*, ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council)** and LUOMU (organically farmed fish), as well as the food safety certificate FSSC 22000.

The selection of Kalatukku E. Eriksson consists of approximately 1000 different seafood products and the company co-operates with international partners on a daily basis.
